Mt. Manaslu (8163m) remains less heard of and more confused with Mt. Makalu (8463m). The former one lies to the west of Kathmandu whereas the later one lies to the east of Kathmandu and a little east from Mt. Everest and the region of Everest Trek. When we talk of Nepal, we have to admit that every region is inhabited by combination of people belonging to various ethnicity following different cultural, social and religious practices and this region is not untouched by this fact. It is not to be mentioned that this region is less frequented by trekkers, but this does not mean that this is not a region to be included in the list that one would like to trek. In fact this is a region where one can feel very much away from the maddening crowd engrossed in the blissful serenity of nature. A trek in this region blesses one with the lifetime memory of being in a place that is really a part of the world.
