Bhutan, the Land of Thunderbolt is a landlocked country encompassing 46,500 sq. Km, situated between Tibet in the north and India in the south. The geographic regions can be divided into the high Himalayas in the north, the hills and the valleys of the centre and the foothills of south. The three relief zones define three different climates: alpine with monsoon, temperate with monsoon and tropical which also defines the three climates: tropical, temperate with monsoon and alpine with monsoon. More than 65 percent of the land of Bhutan is still under the forest cover. Its rich Himalaya flora and fauna, dazing white peaks and lush valleys provide Bhutan's stunning beauty and aesthetic grandeur.

Retrace the way via the Simtokha Dzong the oldest one in Bhutan. After lunch visit hospital of traditional medicine, national library and continue to Paro. Overnight hotel.

Day 07: Takstang Retreat:
Today you will hike up to Takstang Monastery situated in a cliff overlooking the valley. This is the highlights of your trip. You will walk back to Paro. Overnight hotel.
